Volunteers Needed (18-24 years old) with ADHD

November 10, 2023

The AAP Healthy Mental Development team is recruiting young adults (18 – 24 years old) with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) to submit their names for consideration to serve as faculty for a continuing education virtual live event on addressing complex ADHD in pediatric settings. Funded by the CDC, this is a follow-up to a course on ADHD 101 that was well received by attendees. Course faculty members will include a pediatrician, a psychiatrist and a young adult living with ADHD. We anticipate that the live event will be hosted in March or April 2024. Faculty members will work with AAP staff between November 2023 and March 2024 to develop course content. They will be provided a stipend of $1,000 as appreciation for their time on the project. Content from the one-hour live event will be adapted and hosted on PediaLink, the AAP learning management system, as an online course that will be available for up to 3 years.
