Childcare Survey

If you are a childcare provider or parent in South Dakota, we ask you to complete a quick survey by May 31 to tell us about childcare needs in your family and community.

In addition to collecting survey data, we will work with Beresford, Lead/Deadwood, and Webster communities to lead roundtable discussions and support economic development task force groups to address childcare needs in those communities.

Helping Youth and Families Navigate Their Future Learning Series is a free, 5-part, on-demand training designed to help school professionals support students with disabilities as they plan for life after high school.

Planning for the future can feel overwhelming for youth and families, especially when thinking about education, employment, and living more independently. This learning series helps professionals understand the transition-to-adulthood process so they can clearly explain the IEP transition plan, answer questions, and guide families and youth as they prepare for the future. Participants will learn about transition planning, transition assessments, services, and activities that build readiness for adulthood, and ways to support youth in developing self-advocacy skills. Each session is practical, easy to follow, and designed to provide tools professionals can use right away. Participants who complete all training requirements will earn 1 Continuing Education contact hour.
