In a nutshell, this event was designed for middle and/or high students who have a disability, to learn more about careers and preparing for employment. Each year our agenda has varied, based on comments from evaluations from the previous event. I’m sure you can appreciate how difficult it is to keep all students ‘engaged’ and moving throughout the whole event! However, in that attempt, this year, instead of having an ‘Employer Fair’, the day will consist of mini-sessions that participants will rotate through in the morning and afternoon. Some of the sessions will be presented by various agency representatives, and some by employers. The intent is that the smaller group settings will invite/encourage more interaction between the students and presenters.
