Collective Action and Screens

In this group, we have discussed what you can do about excessive screen and social media use in your own homes. But cultural forces and norms conspire against parents who want to bring some natural balance to childhood and adolescence. What can parents and teachers do about screen overuse in our communities and schools? How can we rally others around a call for social change? Join Dr. Dan and other parents to share experiences and brainstorm solutions.

For many practical suggestions, check out Jonathan Haidt’s website. He is the author of an excellent and provocative book, The Anxious Generation. Also, from Protect Young Eyes, see How to Talk to Your School District about Removing Smartphones.
