Common Sense Parenting for School-Aged Children (Jun-Jul Series)

Common Sense Parenting classes provide parents with a menu of proven techniques to help build positive family relationships, prevent and correct misbehavior, use consequences to improve behavior, teach self-control, and stay calm. The program also addresses potential internet dangers and how to manage problems at school.

You will receive information to help set reasonable expectations for children and create a predictable family structure—tactics that improve behavior while helping children feel safe and secure.

Common Sense Parenting classes meet once a week for six weeks.

All classes are held at Children’s Home Shelter for Family Safety, 113 N. St Paul Avenue, Sioux Falls, on Tuesday evenings:

  • August 6–September 10, 2024, 6-8pm
  • September 24–October 29, 2024, 6-8pm
  • Nov 12–December 17, 2024, 6-8pm
