South Dakota Parent Connection (SDPC) connects families
caring for children with disabilities (ages 0-26) to information,
training and resources that empower families to address
the unique needs of their children. This assistance may
be provided to a child with ADHD, cerebral palsy, autism,
diabetes or asthma and can range from information and
training to referrals of individualized assistance. The
Navigator Program through SDPC provides impartial
guidance to families of children and youth with special needs
and to school professionals. Because many of the staff
at SDPC are parents of children with special needs, they
provide first-hand knowledge to parents in an environment of
hope and respect.
