DESCRIPTION:South Dakota Parent Connection is happy to offer this statewide support group for parents and guardians of children\, youth\, and young adults with disabilities. Families may join virtually or attend in person at either South Dakota Parent Connection office. \nThis group is a safe and welcoming place to learn\, share\, and connect with other families who understand your journey. \nEach month\, we will host a one-hour support group that includes a short learning session on a helpful topic\, followed by time for open discussion and sharing with other parents. You can participate from the comfort of your home or join us at one of these locations: \nSioux Falls Office\n3701 W. 49th St.\, Suite 102\nSioux Falls\, SD \nRapid City Office\n2310 North Maple Avenue\nRapid City\, SD \nYou can ask questions\, learn new ideas\, and connect with others who are facing similar challenges. \nBy joining\, you will: \n\nLearn about a topic related to disabilities.\nReceive helpful ideas and resources you can use right away.\nFind support and encouragement by connecting with parents and guardians who have similar experiences.\n\n\nSeptember’s Topic: Having Crucial Conversations—Preparing for Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences \nPlease register to attend this month’s support group HERE.
