South Dakota Deaf Resources & Outreach Programs (DROP) provides support services to individuals who are Deaf, hard of hearing, or speech impaired. This ranges from Deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals, Deaf children with hearing parents, Deaf parents with hearing children, parents of children who are non-verbal and in need of a mode of communication, and more. The following programs are offered at no or reduced cost:
- Information referral
- Employment services
- Peer support
- Communication assistance
- Family communication
- Community integration skills training
- Deaf awareness training, technical assistance, and consultation
- Interpreter mentoring, ASL classes
