Independent Living Services for Adults with Disabilities

People with disabilities can get Independent Living Services to help them live on their own in their own homes and communities. Services are provided through Center for Independent Living in South Dakota. Services include: Information and Referral Services, Independent Living Skills Training, Peer Counseling Services, Individual and Systems Advocacy, Transition Services, and Assistive Technology. To qualify, an individual must have a physical, mental, cognitive, or sensory impairment, limited ability to live independently in their home or community, limited ability to get, keep or advance in a job, or the ability to live or move toward living independently in their home community, or in a job, with the support of Independent Living services.
