Addressing Transitions and Graduation Video

There are times throughout a student’s life when key transitions occur, from the first day of school and beyond. This session discusses the importance of preparing students for the transitions they will face.

In this session, participants will:

  • Discuss the importance of planning for transitions
  • Review key transitions that occur including:
    • Readiness for school entry at kindergarten
    • The importance of preparing for middle school
    • Important considerations for planning for graduation
    • Transition to post-secondary or work
  • Considerations for if a student has been served through an IEP or 504 plan will be discussed
