SUMMARY:Transition Summer Institute 2026\, Oacoma
DESCRIPTION:South Dakota Parent Connection is excited to participate in the 2026 Transition Summer Institute\, a statewide learning opportunity for educators\, school staff\, transition professionals\, and agency partners who support youth with disabilities as they prepare for life after high school. \nThe Transition Summer Institute provides practical information\, strategies\, and resources to help professionals improve transition planning and support successful outcomes in education\, employment\, and independent living. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from experts\, connect with colleagues from across the state\, and explore current topics related to transition services. \nSouth Dakota Parent Connection staff will be presenting a breakout session focused on getting ahead of behavior concerns in the classroom. This session will explore proactive strategies that help educators understand the reasons behind challenging behaviors\, build positive relationships with students\, create supportive learning environments\, and address concerns before they become larger issues. Participants will leave with practical ideas they can begin using immediately to support student success. \nWe hope to see you there! \nRegistration deadline is July 6th\, so don’t wait. Register HERE now!
