ATTENTION: SIBLINGS OF ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES!
We are looking for adult siblings of people with disabilities for a survey about your involvement with your sibling’s transitions. Transitions occur for people with disabilities at the age when they can no longer receive services for children with disabilities and must transition to services for adults with disabilities. The survey will take about 15 minutes to complete.
The purpose of this research project is to learn more about how siblings are involved (or not involved) in transitions for their sibling with a disability. We hope to use this information to develop a better understanding of the roles of siblings in the transition process that people with disabilities go through.
This survey was created by an interdisciplinary team of graduate students through the University of South Dakota’s LEND program. The South Dakota Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) Program provides a graduate-level traineeship and one year of interdisciplinary training.
