Learn strategies to support young children’s school readiness in home and childcare environments.
Early Literacy for Providers and Families teaches strategies to support young children’s language and literacy skills to increase their school readiness in home and childcare environments. This unique class is a great opportunity for families and providers to strengthen partnerships supporting the children in their care, but may be taken individually. Participants will learn to apply evidence based strategies in personalized ways.
A $100 stipend is available for all providers and family members from South Dakota who complete the class, and providers who attend with a family member of a child they support will receive an additional $25. Child care providers and centers may request promotional flyers for families by contacting Darbi Hunt at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This hybrid class includes an online introduction to be completed prior to attending the in person portion. Additional information and a link will be emailed to each registrant prior to the in person class.
Intended for anyone supporting children 5 or under - unregistered providers, babysitters, and grandparents are all welcome! CEUs available.
Snacks will be provided.
