DESCRIPTION:Get ready for a great start to the new school year! \nThe Back-to-School Brigade and Resource Fair at Ellsworth Air Force Base is designed to help military families prepare for the 2026–2027 school year. Eligible military-connected students in kindergarten through 12th grade can receive a backpack filled with school supplies through Operation Homefront’s Back-to-School Brigade program. Families can also attend the Back-to-School Round Up Resource Fair to learn about services and supports available in the community. \nBe sure to stop by the South Dakota Parent Connection booth while you are there. Our staff will be available to answer questions\, share information and resources\, and connect families to free supports for children and youth with disabilities and special health care needs. Families will have the opportunity to learn from experts\, ask questions\, and visit with local organizations that support youth and adults with disabilities. \nTopics will include guardianship\, Vocational Rehabilitation services\, Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits\, transition services for youth ages 15–21\, adult services available after age 21\, and ways to plan for the future.
