Building Self-Healing Communities: Pillars of Trauma-Informed Care (Public)

Description

There is an increasing focus on the impact of trauma and adversity in childhood and how service systems and organizations may either help or exacerbate trauma-related issues. Many agencies and systems are beginning to revisit how they conduct their business or offer services under the framework of a trauma-informed, healing-centered approach.

When we educate on ACEs and trauma awareness, we inevitably get the question of what next? What do we do about it? This training will help to answer those questions and guide organizations as they consider implementation.

Objectives
• Define Trauma
• Understanding the different types of trauma and its impact
• Learn the 4 key assumptions underlying a Trauma-Informed Approach
• Explore the 6 key principles of a Trauma-Informed Approach
• Review the 10 domains of implementation for a Trauma-Informed Approach

Audience
Business and industry leadership, HR professionals, small business owners, municipalities, chamber of commerce groups, professional development groups, DE&I professionals and committee members
