The Transition Summer Institute is a training event for people who help students with disabilities prepare for life after high school. Teachers, school staff, Vocational Rehabilitation counselors, adult service providers, and others are invited to attend.
During the event, participants will learn new ideas and tools to help students plan for their future. Sessions will cover topics like jobs, college or training programs, independent living skills, self-advocacy, and community supports. Attendees will also learn about resources and services available to help students succeed after graduation.
The Transition Summer Institute is a great chance to learn, ask questions, share ideas, and connect with others who support youth and young adults with disabilities.
