Foster Network School Year Kickoff

Two young children in a store aisle lift a large cardboard box over their heads.

Get ready for the new school year at The Foster Network’s School Year Kickoff! This free community event brings together families, community organizations, and resources to help children start the school year prepared and ready to learn. Families can receive backpacks, new shoes, socks, and underwear (while supplies last), enjoy free haircuts and family-friendly activities, and connect with organizations that provide valuable programs and services.

Be sure to stop by the South Dakota Parent Connection booth! Staff will be available to answer your questions, share information about special education and disability services, provide free resources for families, and introduce you to our learning opportunities and individualized support. Whether you’re preparing for your child’s first day of school, have questions about an IEP or 504 Plan, or simply want to learn more about services available to your family, we’re here to help.

We look forward to meeting you and helping your family start the school year with confidence!
