Family Discussion Group

We are asking for your help.  Recently, the South Dakota Council on Developmental Disabilities, in partnership with the University of South Dakota’s Center for Disabilities, DHS/Division of Developmental Disabilities and the DSS/Division of behavioral health, contracted with The University of New Hampshire Institute on Disability to study mental health and crisis services for people who have intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD) in South Dakota and to make recommendations for enhancing and improving those services.  There will be a Family Discussion Group held on Tuesday June 20^th 
6:30pm CST/ 5:30pm MT for families across the state who have a family member with IDD, including autism, as well as behavioral/mental health needs.  We would like to know more about your experiences with the mental health service system.  We need your help in identifying needed services, as well as finding out about existing services that are working well or those that could be improved.  Please join us on Tuesday June 20^th, 2023 and share with anyone you might know that would be interested in participating.  We need your voices.
