Avera Behavioral Health Symposium, Sioux Falls

The 2nd Annual Avera Behavioral Health Symposium is an educational event for healthcare and behavioral health professionals. Participants will learn about current, evidence-based approaches to behavioral health assessment, treatment, and care coordination.

Topics will include trauma-informed care, resilience, compassion fatigue, suicide prevention, addiction treatment, harm reduction, artificial intelligence in healthcare, and the effects of social media and smartphones on mental health. The symposium will also include a review of South Dakota’s mental health hold process.

This event is designed for physicians, nurses, counselors, therapists, social workers, psychologists, addiction and prevention professionals, technicians, and other members of the healthcare team.
